“When they asked me what I wanted to be I said I didn’t know.” – Sylvia Plath
The American Dream is ingrained through the whole Western world. The yellow school bus isn’t even used here for school, but as an aesthetically pleasing vehicle for rent, to use for weddings and such. Everything is being modelled to be more American. Even our own language is being neglected; more and more people only speak English in Amsterdam. When I grew up, I wanted to be picked up for school in the weird yellow bus, instead of biking to school in under 5 minutes, through the rain. This photoshoot was the starting point of Under Pressure.
